The Fruit Comes Later

We’ve been programmed to expect instant results. Quick fixes. Overnight success. Transformation in 30 days or less.

So when things don’t happen right away—When the scale doesn’t move, the business doesn’t boom, or the healing doesn’t come immediately—we assume something’s wrong.

But the truth is... nothing is wrong. That’s just how real growth or change works.

It’s like planting a seed.

You dig the hole. You bury the seed. You water it. And for a while—nothing happens. At least, not on the surface.

But beneath the soil, life is stirring. Roots are forming. Structure is building. The foundation is being laid.

And that’s how it works with anything meaningful. Your health. Your mission. Your art. Your transformation. Your healing.

At first, it feels like no one sees you. Like nothing’s working. Like maybe it’s not “meant to be.”

But that couldn't be further from the truth. You don’t plant a seed and expect to eat the fruit the next day. You know it takes time. You know you have to water it, tend to the soil, protect it from the elements and most importantly, you know you must trust the process.

One of my favorite quotes — featured in The Unplugged Journal—says it best:

“The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.”

So I’ll leave you with this: Plant your seeds now!!!

Because success takes time—and the sooner you plant, the sooner you eat.

See you on the other side
