Momentum

The theme of my last two newsletters is that plant medicine only works if you are willing to do THE WORK.

This means that when it comes to your journey of healing, self-improvement and personal growth you must do more than just attend “ceremonies” and “take medicine”. You must also do the everyday tasks (“THE WORK”) that are required to improve your life such as working out, eating healthy, learning new skills, establishing boundaries, improving your environment and developing positive habits. It's the only way!

When it comes to THE WORK there are many facets.

One facet I have found to be very useful, especially when feeling lost or directionless on your life path is to build momentum.

This is because the universe seems to reward action. Remember an object in motion tends to stay in motion. Likewise an object at rest tends to remain at rest.

In other words, if you want your life to change you must begin the process of change. You must get the ball rolling. Change only comes from movement, not stagnation.

This concept of momentum has been extremely helpful for me these last 7-months as I am still in the process of re-establishing and rebuilding my new life after my year long sama. Which has not been an easy process because my new path is far from being 100% clear.

But that hasn’t stopped me from taking action. Everyday I try to do something, be it sending an email, making a phone call, creating new products, learning a new skill, interviewing for a job, etc…anything that keeps the momentum going, which in turn, gets me closer to my ideal life.

By doing this I have learned that the universe rewards momentum. I have learned that when I direct my energy in a certain direction, towards my ideal life, that opportunities suddenly present themselves. Opportunities that only became available because of the momentum I had generated...

This is all to say that if you don’t know what to do or if your path is not 100% clear, stop waiting for the perfect moment or a sign from the universe . Just pick a direction and start moving (THIS IS YOUR SIGN!!!)

See you on the other side!
